history: Jasper Whitlock was born in 1843 in Houston, Texas. When he was 17 he lied to army recruiters and told them he was 20 so he could join the Confederate Army and fight in the Civil War. It was during that time when he met Maria, a gorgeous Mexican vampire who gave him eternal life.
Jasper stayed with Maria for 100 years and soon after, left her to escape her clutches. He wandered for many years on his own and one day he met the Cullens--Carlisle, Esme and their "children" Edward, Rosalie, Emmett and Bella. He was welcomed into the family with open arms. That meant, though, that he had to change his feeding habits. It hasn't been easy for him.
Now, Jasper is living in Forks with the Cullens, after adopting the last name Hale. He's been alone for too long in his life and he wants and is looing the will to live. It's too much for him to bear, especially the struggle of feeding off of animals instead of humans. He's trying his hardest, but he doesn't know if he'll be able to resist.[/font]
